As soon as I decide to pinch some pennies to balance the $$$ cost of my upcoming Girlfriend Getaway, Groupon and Living Social start sending me deals that I would actually purchase.

Why yes, I would like super discounted personal training sessions, and language lessons, and fancy body slimming spa treatments…but I just spent $500 on plane tickets.

Unfair.

After reading this post, from one of my favorite bloggers, I’ve spent most of my slow afternoon working on creating a goal calendar.
It’s exceedingly hard to come up with 18 non-vague goals. I tend to think along the lines of, “write more poems that don’t suck,” instead of “write and revise 25 poems.” #firstworldproblems.

However, it is not hard to come up with a short list of “Eff Yea” accomplishments from 2011. For your reading pleasure:

• Ran a half marathon
• Joined a book club
• Read 50 books in (less than) 12 months
• Started taking pilates
  Completed a poetry workshop
• Started a search for the best chocolate chip cookie
• Consumed sushi with actual fish in it
• Did a lot of adventurous (for us) cooking
• Survived Unemployment and found a great job
• Planned a large-ish party (bridal shower)
• Went skydiving

Not too shabby, 2011, not too shabby.
