Things I’m currently working on that you may or may not find interesting

Tracking my body’s response to wheat products.Christmas at my inlaws included lots of pastas and breads and pastries and also included a lot of digestion issues. I typically don’t eat a lot of wheat, I tend to save my carbs for dinner and lean towards potatoes and rice (and baked goods, let’s be real).  My mom is allergic to wheat and has been saying for years that I might be sensitive too. I’ve been ignoring her  because life without brownies makes me want to cry. However, I’d prefer not to relive the awfulness that was my body over Christmas, so I’m keeping track. If I start to notice a pattern I might cut wheat products out for a while and see what happens. And then add them back in and see what happens. My body is a science experiment.

Attacking my wardrobe. It’s becoming my new favorite thing to do. I purge a little more every week, finding things I don’t wear, don’t like, are beat up. I even went through my shoe collection. I want to work on building a wearable, sort-of minimalist type wardrobe. I can hear my parents laughing at me from 400 miles away, but I’m serious. Currently I could fit every t-shirt and pair of jeans I own into one drawer, and I have a few more I need to put in the goodwill pile. See? Told you.

Revising poetry. I’m taking part in a reading on Monday, the first one I’ve done in a few years. I only have five minutes, but I’m excited nonetheless.
