Opposites
My husband and I are on opposite schedules this week.
I come home around 6 am, brush my teeth, and fall into bed.
He wakes up at 7:00 and attempts to talk to me.
I hear “blah blah blah dog blah blah blah food blah blah blah love you”
Yesterday was an interesting newlywed take on the children’s story “Who Put the Pepper In The Pot” Our version is similarily titled...
Happiness
Rainy days that make night shift SO much easier. Sleep masks. Pumpkin scented candles. Gray swede ankle boots. Apple pie ala mode. Leftovers for lunches. The smell of fall air. When the dog sits on my feet. Car jars (in musky florals, jasmine/lilac). Second day hair. Bath and Body works Moonlight Path. The exhaustion that comes after spending the day outside. My husband’s chicken noodle...

Friday
Between his work trip and my work schedule tonight will be the first time in almost a week that I’ll see my husband for more than 10 minutes. I’m quite excited about it.
After the first “week” of work I’ve decided I really enjoy it. And I don’t mind the night shift too much, there’s a lot of down time and we have the ability to read/go to the on site...
Currently..
…my entire body is itchy thanks to poison something (oak, sumac, ivy, whatev), North Carolina, dove hunting, and my husband. I blame all four. I broke down and bought something made specifically for poison plant exposure and I hope to God it works. I’m starting to feel like a leper.
…tomorrow at 5:30 pm starts my first 12 & 1/2 hour training. I’ll be doing nights...
Secrets of Young Adulthood
There are just some things that turn out to be true, over and over again. A kind of mantra to every day life, these are the thoughts that I keep coming back to throughout my life.
Inspired by “The Happiness Project” and Gretchen Rubin’s “Secrets of Adulthood” here are my secrets of young adulthood, since, you know, I’m under twenty-five.
-Moderately...

The Boy has two buddies in town for the night. They are currently watching a billion soccer matches and drinking. I am taking myself out for a BLT, glass of sauvignon blanc, and manicure.
That sounds awesome!
Zach is going out of town for a few days, and while I’ll miss him tons, it’ll be nice to have full access of the remote control!
Bullet Points
Yesterday I finished “The Happiness Project,” I have been following Gretchen’s blog from very early in the process and I was a little unsure that the book would be worth buying. I mean, I was getting the same content for free, right? Wrong. The book was everything a self-help book should be, interesting, informative, and full of examples and real world situations. Not only...
Things That Are Awesome
After today I hopefully won’t have to fax another document for weeks. Seriously, I’ve been to Office Max more this week than I have ever in my life.
I have off until Tuesday, and I get paid for Monday. That is awesome.
It’s official. The new job is business casual. I am so excited to wear pretty clothes again. Of course, I just cleaned out my closet and am now in dire need...
lovelyanomaly asked: I think you might have mentioned this somewhere before, but ohmygoodness, where is your wedding dress from? I love it a lot!
